Product Description
Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, E466) is a semi-synthetic water-soluble polymer derived from cellulose. It forms stable, viscous solutions in water and is widely used as a thickener, emulsifier, suspending agent and film-forming agent.
Our food grade CMC meets FCC and E466 specifications and is used in ice cream, bakery, dairy, beverage and pharmaceutical products. Technical grade CMC is also supplied for oilfield drilling mud, textile sizing, paper coating and detergent applications. Multiple viscosity grades are available.
