It acts as a sequestrant for calcium and magnesium ions (water softening), alkalinity builder and anti-redeposition agent, significantly improving detergent cleaning performance in hard water.
Our technical grade STPP is available in granular and powder form. It is the primary phosphate builder used in heavy-duty laundry powders and automatic dish wash formulations. It also finds application in food processing (as E451) and in water and metal treatment.
